Guest guest
Ok All Y'All...this is important or I wouldn't be sending it to all the groups I'm in... First, What State are you in?Second, How hard is it for you to get the meds you need? In Wa, and in NY, there was no problemo...here in WV there is 1: a waiting period before scripts can be filled, and 2: a limit as to how many pills of any given perscription you are allowed to have if you are on SSI. Meaning when the Dr gave me a script for pain meds I had to pass a waiting period before the pharmacy could fill it, and he gave it for 60 but they could only get "authorization" for 40 a month...Is this a problem in other states? We're going to move...and this is important because when we find States where this is not the case we will then consider those States, and if there are other states where this IS a problem we will NOT consider them. I am a 50 year old woman and if I need pain meds, I need them NOW, not whenever the local gov't decides I can have them. Rob hates seeing me in so much pain and this "waiting period and you can only have so many pills no matter what your DR says" thingy is just beyond being in any way acceptable. We're mainly considering Pennsylvania, since we're just S of there and it would be easy to move, and we'd still be near enough to our local friends to visit...and I do have friends in Pa as well... Feedback PLEASE! Private feedback is preferred, so as not to gunk up the lists with replys (akiba@...) Please put something like "STATES" in the sub line so I don't accidentally delete it. Every reply is appreciated. Guest guest
Does your insurance allow you to use a mail service for your prescriptions? It won't help now if you plan to move but I use mail order for my insulin and two other meds I take. It helps to save us money. You can get a 3 months supply for the amount you would pay for one month at your local pharmacy.
