Guest guest
i haven t looked into very much as the artilce i read about it said my favorite line, this is a program for htose who have no insurance. so that cut me out, but i will check into it, thanks for reminding me hugs, sharon ---- Donna Mido wrote: Sharon, Have you heard that Sam's club and Walmart, and (even Walgreen if they are down there,) are doing drugs at $4. per prescription? They are the generic drugs. And I know the news said 28 states have it so far, but I would think you might want to see if one of those states are Florida. I don't know what qualifications are, but it sounds like lots of people are using it. Especially those in the donut hole. Do a web search of anyone of them and see if they talk about it. OT Hello Friends, I am cleaning out Don's bedroom, so that if he gets sick EMT's can get to him. He has a nine drawer dresser, a high chest of drawers, with 5 drawers, a night stand and a computer cabinet. Enough already! He has been collecting and stacking stuff on top of the long dresser. When I went through the dresser today I found a drawer full of stones. Yep, he has a thing for stones and fossils, and Arrow heads. I have put them all in one box, and plan to make a display out of them for him. I have a large heavy frame that should be good for a shadow box. Anyway, back to furniture. I wrote to a grandson and told him to come pick up this furniture that we had already given him. It is for the great granddaughters. They will enjoy it. And, they need it. We don't. If I need to care for my darling, then I will be able to get around the room instead of just having an isle around the bed. And too, I have read that he may need his bed next to the wall if he starts falling out of it. So, now I can push it in the corner, and put something more than the carpet on the floor to cushion his fall. He was so relieved that I took the job of cleaning the dresser. I urged him for weeks to sort his stuff so we could give the furniture to the kids. He is unable to make choices and clean up. He did stack a few magazines in boxes, Well, to be exact it's about five feet high of " Texas Highways, " and " Texas Parks and wild life " . Great magazines! He said if someone would pick them up, they could have the whole batch. Like I said he is a collector. More like a pack rat, (grin). So the magazines are packed and two small non working Tv's, three pictures in frames, not to mention the stuff that was stashed in the dresser. So, I cleaned it all up today. We'll put an old antique chest of drawers in there for him, and a larger night stand from my room. He tried on some of his suits and blazers. I need this extra closet, but he likes everything he has. They are nice. I like them too, but we don't dress up anymore. I won't try to pull those away from him. Anything I do I make sure I have his full approval. So, now I don't know what I will do for an extra closet. Put on the old thinking cap. We have had rain today! Wonder of wonders! We have gone for months with no rain. Our poor yard looks like thunder. I was going to go grocery shopping, but not in the rain. It has really felt nice to see our liquid sunshine. All of you that have had, and are still having rain, I am sorry. It can get old when it lingers too long, and especially when it's cold and raw. I lived in the North for nearly 16 years so I know about lingering wet weather. Texas doesn't know much about making weather like that. All it seems to know how to do extra well, is make heat! Take care, all you lovable Caretakers. Give your mates, and other loved ones, a kiss, but otherwise behave. (big silly grin) Imogene Caregiver for my True Texas Gentleman husband of 35 years. Guest guest
I just looked this program up and it does say it will save those in the " donut hole " money. It includes those on Medicaid, but it doesn't exclude those with Insurance. It has been in Florida for the past month. And the biggest problem is waiting for scripts to get filled. But there are many, including Target (I don't know about in Florida) that are offering the same. Maybe K Mart was also mentioned.
