Guest guest
My son is taking Zantac for GI reflux. He was previously taking pepcid. The pepcid helped, but seemed to make him hyper and at times, obsessive. Over the last few weeks of taking zantac, he is also returning to some hyper behavior, but now is acting like his reflux has returned (feeling sick, night waking, tantrums and noncompliance). He is completely unfocused as well. He took a 17 day round of Diflucan a couple of weeks ago and improved a little, then worsened. He has been GFCF for over a year. My question: Have anyone of you seen zantac or pepcid cause hyperactivity or loss of focus? I am trying to figure if this might actually be not a side effect of these meds, but just behaviors from pain if these meds are not working well. It is so hard to know what is going on in there! Guest guest
I am taking Nexium for the same thing. It works well and I don't believe I have any side effects. I'm in my second year of taking 40 mg per day (I had an advanced case of reflux problems). Sorry I can't give you info about the other meds, as I haven't used them. You know (I presume) that autistics vary in their reaction to drugs. Patty Joy Brown wrote: > My son is taking Zantac for GI reflux.
