Guest guest
Sorry - but that sure looks like somebody trying to sell something to this group [ ] Monolaurin Hi everyone! I just joined the group. We are working on resolving health problems both with our daughter and myself. I have used 2 jars of monolaurin from www.lauricidin.com and I have gotten good results. I know I have mercury toxicity, yeast overgrowth and cytomegalovirus. This product has helped as far as sleep improvement, brain fog and energy. If anyone wants more info, please feel free to e-mail me privately.....I belong to a stealth virus group and can put you in touch with the doctor who developed this product. Take care, Robin
Guest guest
: You may be right, but Lauricidin is still an excellent natural product against herpes viruses if your child can swallow those little pellets (like in applesauce) without biting into them. They taste like soap with an awful aftertaste! The Monolaurin caps from Ecological Formulas are good but much less concentrated than the Lauricidin pellets, and I have found it hard to be able to give the smaller kids enough of them to be nearly as effective as the Lauricidin, which unfortunately tastes bad. Since its not MLM and one can purchase it easily over the internet, why would someone be trying to sell it? Jaquelyn [ ] Monolaurin > > Hi everyone! > > I just joined the group. Jack does progress with every round but Jack is now five and he is still not talking. He is not in his own world and he is alot of fun but I really wish he could talk like he did at 2. I was the person who first mentioned the monlaurin because I just bought some. It claims to help most things ASD children have problems with. If someone is using a product that has really helped there child I want to know about it and I can do my own investigation to see if I should purchase it. I have a friend who swears by focus factor, but it has corn and Jack seems to react to it. I wish people would not be put down for sharing knowledge because I need all that I can get. So if anyone out there has a product, supplement that has worked please let me know marib005@.... nne > > > --------------------------------- >

Guest guest
For those giving monolaurin, how much are you giving and for how long. My son is 45#. I'm giving him (1) 300mg capsule/day. Also has anyone seen any side effects-I give it to my son at night along with his liquid NuThera and I don't know if his occasionally kicking and restlessness is due to what? Thanks, Holly
Guest guest
Holly: It was recommended NOT to give nu-thera at night because B vitamins can cause restless sleep as well as some kids night waking or staying awake. My doc said not to give them past 3 pm in the afternoon. Dont know about the monolaurin.
Guest guest
Its probably due to the nu thera. Those vitamins give you energy! Because of the B vitamins, it is sometimes best not to give nu thera after 3-4 pm. Re: [ ] Monolaurin For those giving monolaurin, how much are you giving and for how long. My son is 45#. Guest guest
Thanks , I was thinking I should split up my sons dosage throughout the day. Where do you buy the minipellets and do you know how many mg are in each 1/2 scoop. I have capsules. Thanks, Holly

Guest guest
Hi Holly, I got the mini pellets through med-chem labs. You can order on line. I think the capsules are fine too I'm not sure of the dosage though. Dr. McCandless explains this in her book. It tells you exactly how many mini pellets are equivelent to 1 capsule. I would look it up for you but I loaned the book to my sons doctor. You can e-mail me privately if you have trouble getting the information you need. I do think it is best to give it 3 times a day. > Thanks , > > I was thinking I should split up my sons dosage throughout the day. Guest guest
Hi, Dr. McCandless said in her book that 3 Monolaurin capsules equals to one scoop of the Lauricidin pellets. My son was taking the 3 Monolaurin capsules opened up at a time; but, today, he started with 1/2 a scoop of Lauricidin pellets in mashed banana. Guest guest
For those of you concerned with Monolaurin---wouldn't it be easier to just use raw coconut kernel, or coconut oil because of it's high lauric acid content. Once thru the liver, the lauric acid is converted into " monolaurin " ......very naturally and safely. The only substance higher in lauric acid is Human Breast Milk! As an added bonus, the shredded raw coconut is a tremendous benefit to their already compromised digestive tract and immune system. Guest guest
Holly, Try to give the monolaurin as often as possible. I e-mail w/ Dr. Kabara, the scientist responsible for monolaurin, and that was the advice he gave me. He also said, you are giving too much if you increase the dose w/o benefit. nne > Thanks , > > I was thinking I should split up my sons dosage throughout the day. Guest guest
We use lauricidin, which comes with a label...do not chew! However, we successfully grind it (mortar/pestle route) with Dr. K's approval...and it does work by clinical numbers for HHV-6 in our child (age 8) and resulting perfect stools! He gets one scoop am and one scoop pm. My 5 year old NT child gets the same...just for health.
Guest guest
Hi nne; We just grind it with a mortar/pestle thing. Clumps a bit, but falls apart with ease. My 5 yr old (40 lb) and 8 yr old (68 lbs) both take one entire scoop each am and pm. Me, too! We use Lauricidin. Tastes like soap. My ASD child used to like to lick soap, so now he gets it for " free " ....and he's quit the urge to hit the bar soap! We mix it with Earth's Best pears...we mix everything with Earth's best pears and now they are just conditioned. Even CLO and smelly old DMSA. They wince...but they do it! Guest guest
LInda, How are your grinding it? It is nasty tasting. I take it myself and I do notice a difference. The 5-6hrs of sleep I get each night feels like 8. Also I had my sister-in-law take it for some problems she has been having and she dropped about 10 pounds. I also give it to my 3 yr old. I give him about 4 pellets with water or juice and then four more. We take turns. I make it into a game. nne > We use lauricidin, which comes with a label...do not chew! Guest guest
I give my 3yo/ 30 lbs daughter monolaurin in capsule form (300 mg) 2x a day. the brand I use is from ecological formulas. It contains no corn, yeast, wheat, liver, citrus or other common food or chemical allergens. The company is based in concord, ca. I haven't seen any good or bad reactions from it, except her language is really starting to take off. Don't know if there is any correlation. > I want to start using monolaurin on my 4yo 50lb son. Guest guest
Yes it does come in capsule. I believe it is sold by ecological formulas. You may want to try the pellets if he is at all cooperative. I use to hide Jack's in banana baby food. The pellets are much cheaper. nne > I want to start using monolaurin on my 4yo 50lb son. Guest guest
We have used the lauricidin from www.lauricidin.com It is the pellet form, but it works pretty good if you crush it and then mix with a syrup (my son takes most of the yucky stuff via plunger-style syringe). I checked with Dr. Kabara (this is his product) and he said the product was not compromised by crushing it. Worked well for us. HTH Elsie (in TX) monolaurin I want to start using monolaurin on my 4yo 50lb son. I know lauracidin comes in pellet form which would be difficult to get down. Does monolaurin come in capsules that can be pulled apart? Any suggestions on brands and dosage? Thanks
Guest guest
Hi, Can anyone tell me when and why to use monolaurin? We have considered it for our son, but want to check out first what it is most effective against? Many thanks
