Guest guest
How do any of you deal with MRSA in your facility? We recently had our first and second cases of it. It was brought to our unit by in 3 month old that was transferred to us from a larger facility so he could be closer to his family. All the NICU staff are being tested and anyone who might be poitive is going to be treated. All the literature I have read suggests that treatment may be innefective. One you colonize MRSA in nasal passages it seems you always have a very high rate of recolonization. Any suggestions, comments or ideas on the subject would be greatly appreciated.
