Guest guest
Andy, It seems to happen more now that it is hotter? Maybe because I am increasing my water intake. But if I jump rope and if I jump on the trampoline it leaks out. I did go to the doctor about this a while ago. I took a pill for about a week and then decided that it didn't work. Nothing like sticking to it. lol So I am going to start taking it again. And make another apt. with a urologist. (sigh) I just want to continue on with this training because it is so fun. I see the people next to me on the treadmill trying to figure out what the hell I am up to. I live in a town where I get a huge exposure and love the extra (attention) media.. Okay I am a glory seeker... This is all from bfl. (not really) Okay I will make a dr. appt. When I get back from vacation. aka the pee in your pants lady... -- In bodyforlife@y..., " Andy " <andyman68@y...> wrote: > This only happens when you increase the intensity of your exercise? > > Andyman > > > > Hi Guys, > > Those pull ups are an awesome goal. Guest guest
, A friend with a similar issue (no pun intended) solved her problem by adding Kegel exercises to her regimen. After a few weeks it solved the leakage problem (and also made her boyfriend VERY happy). There are more muscles in the human body than you or I know about. And all they need is to be brought into line. Good Luck, Les >From: mmmegan38@... >Reply-To: bodyforlife >To: bodyforlife >Subject: Re: running/walking/sprinting/peeing my pants >Date: Fri, 10 Aug 2001 01:49:06 -0000 > >Andy, > It seems to happen more now that it is hotter? Guest guest
That web page I referred her to mentioned exercises so that is definitely something should try. Guest guest
Amen to the suggestions on Kegels. I doubt the doc will really help you with this, because it is probably an issues of muscle control (Kegel muscles that is) rather than a physiological problem since it only happens when you exercise. I would try the Kegels for a few weeks and if you are having the same problem, *then* go see the doctor. A friend of mine had the same issue, only while she was running, went to the doc and she told her to do the Kegels for a month and then come back if there was still a problem. A month later, no problems, except a wasted trip to the doctor. However, don't hesitate to go if it still persists after a few weeks of Kegels! I have done Kegels for years, mostly because I was so paranoid after the birth of my daughter - I did NOT want to be one of those women in the Depends commercials, LOL! Do the Kegels throughout the day, every day and you will see a huge difference (and so will your hubby, wink wink). Jen B. > Hi Guys, > Those pull ups are an awesome goal. Guest guest
I would definately go see a physician about your problem. There may be an underlying problem effecting your incontinence. If there is no problem it is something that can be fixed with a prescription medication.
