Hello,

I used makeswebsites.com. It is good for the frugal do-it-yourselfers of us!

It was $199 for 3 years (they have monthly, annual, 5 year rates also). You can

build it easily yourself & can update at anytime. My plan is to add the link to

appointmentquest. Anyone can send a message to my email from the website

(without my email address being posted).

My website is a work in progress, but you can check it out at:

www.sharongeorgemd.com. I still need to get a picture of me to post that looks

professional enough. It looks like others went to a studio? Comments on the

website & /or practice design welcome. Plan is to open Nov. 1.

If anyone doesn't have their URL yet (website address), you can search for what

is available & buy it cheaply at www.godaddy.com (something like $8.95/ year).

Have fun.

Nice website, Sharon.

Did you get the Pope's permission to use the picture from his personal collection?

Sharon, Your website looks great. The photo I used was for licensing and job stuff a few years ago. I think that the more natural photos look great. I just didn't have one and it was easy to scan the one I had. I sent off my first bill! Moitrisharongeorgemd@... wrote: Hello,I used makeswebsites.com. Hi Moitri & all,

I haven't made it back to California yet, I'm in Missouri visiting my

parents (both 81) and checking up on their health. Anyway, my

husband called & my first two patient checks (for my

" registration " fee) arrived yesterday. It was very

exciting and made the whole thing seem so real! These are patients

I had a few years ago at my previous practice, but they remembered

me. Their trust is almost overwhelming, but very empowering.

I love sharing this with people who have gone through opening their own

practices, only we can really know what it is like.....

Thanks to all for all your help. You are great!

Moitri, any more first week stories for us??

So, you

are going to be a cash only style of practice (ie, no insurances)?

Otherwise, I would think a “registration fee” would be a violation

of your contracts. California sounds like a whole other planet from where I practice in central Ohio because people here

would laugh & walk right out the door if I requested a similar “registration

fee” here!
