Ideas for treatment of rheumatic fever?

Dear UNDA practitioners, Does anyone have any good ideas, other than antibiotics, for treatment of rheumatic fever in a child? Patient is a 6 year old girl who is stable with antibiotics (prescribed by her MD), but her parents would like her off of antibiotics if possible. Previously, symptoms were rash, fever, and joint pain, but NO heart complications. Thank you kindly for any feedback. Sharum Sharif, ND
