Guest guest
There is not low price leader. You do have to shop. That is one of the benefits of the LOVE model because at least you know what your supply cost is. How many in private practice in corporate america know that? We use all of the ones you have listed. It seems like they are like Exon, Mobil and the other big oil companies and have you buy the neck. Synvisc ordering was a real pain thru the manufacturer. Talk about no service. Guest guest
My only tip is to sign up with the Pediatric Federation to get lower cost vaccines. That's what all the pediatrians in my area do, so I followed suit. > > I know we've talked about this previously a little > bit, but I am wondering who people recommend for > medical supplies? > > I started out with McKesson, but their local service > and rep were terrible. Guest guest
I found out that a local hospital has a program to provide purchasing for the doctors offices in the area so they can use the negotiating power of the hospital to keep the prices down. The hospital is doing this as a public service to the local docs, and so there are really very few strings attached. When I changed to them, I saved a bundle. You may want to check with local hospitals to see if they offer a similar program. B Clinical Supplies I know we've talked about this previously a little bit, but I am wondering who people recommend for medical supplies? I started out with McKesson, but their local service and rep were terrible. I have used PSS and Medical, and Sanofi Pasteur for some items. I am going to set up an account directly with Merck for some of their vaccines. Any new ideas or suggestions? I find that prices fluctuate and there is no consistent " lowest price provider " . Appreciate any help. Rancho Mirage, CA __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I use Besse and I have an online account so when I order stuff it arrives the next day! They bill me weeks later! I think the prices are good. It was recommended by my prior office and I've been happy with them. They screwed something up (minor thing) and gave me the stuff for free once.PamelaPamela Wible, MDFamily & Community Medicine, LLC3575 st. #220 Eugene, OR 97405roxywible@...www.idealmedicalpractice.orgOn May 3, 2006, at 1:36 PM, flores chris wrote: I know we've talked about this previously a little bit, but I am wondering who people recommend for medical supplies? Guest guest
I use GIV too, and they are very quick. But I have learned to watch them: they love to send things that will expire next week, and they will bill 3 or 4 times for the same item, so you have to be sure you only pay once. Guest guest
Per Brady's recommendation I have also been using the GPO at the local hospital. For anyone in Southeastern Virginia who accepts Optima insurance, you too can buy through Docxdirect. They not only discount medical supplies, but also provide you with their group purchasing power and contract prices at OfficeMax. (Still Sam's Club will come in lower on office supplies, esp. toner cartridges.) One of the FP Management articles a while back mentioned the on-line company " Esurg " and I have been using them as well. They carry a really nice and inexpensive disposable suture set that I love. The intruments are of a very nice quality. The service I have been receiving from Russ B. has been outstanding and the billing has been perfectly accurate. You have to register to shop, the adddress is esurg.com. , MD Trinity Medical Care, PC (est. 1/3/06) Virginia Beach, VA SUNY Stony Brook Class of 1990 > > > > I know we've talked about this previously a little > bit, but I am wondering who people recommend for > medical supplies? > > I started out with McKesson, but their local service > and rep were terrible.
