Guest guest
To the Media: For Immediate Release: June 16, 2010 What follows is a statement, written on behalf of Hartmann and his family, owners of Hartmann Dairy Farm, without their permission or knowledge, (because the State stole their harddrives) in response to the many false reports released by the State of Minnesota that milk from the farm has made people ill. If you have any questions, please contact K. Wood at , or garykwood@.... State of Minnesota to Hartmann: COMPLY OR DIE!! The State of Minnesota Department of Agriculture returned to the Hartmann Farm with another search warrant yesterday and this time they issued " cease and desist " orders which last week they said they lacked the legal authority to issue. They must have paid a different lawyer. This is how people with power execute their small-minded vendettas to crush anyone who dares to challenge them, and win as Hartmann has proven in the past. When the Hartmann's pasteurized their milk and sold it through the Wedge, the Seward Co-op and other great independent outlets, the stores were threatened with license revocations from targeted health department investigations. The Hartmann's met the Grade A standards, but refused to apply for a Grade A permit to allow vindictive inspectors the right to interfere with their right to engage in private business. The Hartmann's grew, changed their products, and sold directly to consumers on order. The challenge they made to the State led to the 2005 decision of the Supreme Court upholding the constitutionality of the farmer's right to sell the products they produce from the land they occupy. While the Departments of Health, Agriculture, and Natural Resources, stand by and allows Monsanto, ADM, and other proponents of massive profits from agri-chemicals to operate freely at the risk of human health and the environment, to poison the land and turn farmers into sharecroppers, they have unlimited time, and resources to bully a tiny opponent for the same reasons anyone chooses to bully another. Is this just the whine of a constant complainer who has taken a beating because he won't follow the rules? Absolutely not! Not if you consider the fact that the State's forensic experts at the Department of Health have not produced a single positive e.coli O157:H7 test of any edible product from the Hartmann farm. So what, say the bullies of the Department of Agriculture. The epidemiologists and the knaves they put up to investigate the Hartmann's, used interview sheets, pre-printed with a single-source question, Did you consume any products from the Hartmann's in the last week? This was not an investigation. This was a pre-planned sneak attack on an honest, hard-working, sincere and passionate farm family who believe in the safety and quality of their products. 52 school children from Lafayette, Minnesota visited the farm the week before the first State raid. They had all the free raw milk, cheese, yogurt and ice cream they could eat. Their teachers and chaperones joined in. Not one single person, child or adult, complained of any illness they related to their farm experience. The State of Minnesota says they wouldn't have been feeling so good if they ate the cow shit!! Probably not. But the Hartmann's aren't the ones shoveling the manure in this case. For that job you have to go to Greg Pittman, Gayle Radd, and some others whose penmanship is so bad you can't read their names on the official forms. These government agents, paid to serve the whims of the Sheriffs of Nottingham found dust on top of the bottling machine! OH MY! There is carpet on the storage shelves! OH NO! You have hard drives in your computers!! OMG!!! We must protect the public they cried, and seized it all. They embargoed for destruction food never tested, demanded the Hartmann's document their use of their own food, and to refuse anyone who lawfully comes to the farm to buy their milk!! So you can have it for free!! Bring your bottles, can, pails, containers of your choosing, and the Hartmann's will fill them until the cows run dry! This has nothing to do with health or the rule of law. This has nothing to do with due process, freedom of choice, or any other right you might think you have under the Constitution. This is about power. Anyway you can get it. Anyway you can use it. No more " give me liberty or give me death! " It's, My Way or the Highway! Comply or Die!! State of Minnesota, See my middle finger rising! I don't like you, or the horse you rode in on!
