Guest guest
Hi All- I have a 37 yo female who has had iron issues for many years. She was severely anemic with a ferritin of 4 about 6 years ago for no real 'reason'- no bleeding issues, eats some meat, no digestive issues that stand out. Taking oral iron helped a bit but she got IV iron for a while to get her stores back up. She was at a ferritin level of 83, then switched back just to oral iron. Since then, her ferritin continues to drop slowly- even if she take oral iron supplements. Floradix doesn't work, so she has to take the constipating big pills. Energy is 4-5/10. She looks pale. Tends to anxiety and over mentation. I have only begun working with her but thought I would see if others might have ideas of why her body is using iron up so quickly. She is taking ferrum phos cell salt, UNDA and off of gluten. Thanks for your insights!
