Hello everyone,

I'm a RNY(May13,04) gone severly bad, to point that I am unable to

eat and have a feeding tube. I have had mutliple surgeries and

endoscopies to try to correct my RNY. I currently have multiple

ulcers, severe esophagitis, and closure at the astomosis. My feeding

tube goes into my stomach on the bottom that was left from the RNY.

My Savior DR.K put my feeding tube in, in November. Before that I

was on TPN for months. Dr. K wants me to build my body back up with

Procomplex or Isopure tube feedings to get my body ready for the

surgery. I currently have a date for a Complete Revision to a DS in

April. I am on Lovenox for blood clots so I will have to be

hospitalized to start me on Heparin and reverse the Lovenox before

surgery.

Why I am writing is to kinda explain my situation in small detail

and see if there is anyone out there that has had a RNY to DS for any

reason.........how and it went.

Questions??? Will I be able to eat normal food after the

DS..ex:bread, pasta, meat, anything with a substance? How long was

everyone off even the worst cases before they returned to work or

normal activity(I have been off of work and in and out of the

hospital since my RNY)? What supplements will I have to take postop.

Please don't tell me protein shakes...Do you have to wait the

18months afterwards if you have already lost all your weight to get

pregnant?

My surgery wouldn't be for obesity...anymore. It would be more

for the revision and quality of life...being able to eat and

function.I have already had my surgery approved it's just the waiting

for my body to get ready.

ANY comments or suggestions would be wonderful.

Thank You for your time....

Alisha
