The warning on plastics should not be limited to just

brewing KT in plastic. Plain water in plastic bottles as

well as a host of foods we buy and eat from plastic have the

same effect, as does the environment. The adverse effects

of plastics that may affect humans do not affect the

kombucha. Kombucha's will grow and thrive. That is not to

say that those that drink the KT will... Therefore if

plastics are already in your life - don't stress out.

Every little bit helps, but stress is by far the bigger

killer.

Basically plastics can leach endocrine disruptors...

chemicals that

disrupt your endocrine (glandular) system..just search

" Endocrine

Disruptors " to learn a lot more. Kombucha being acid tends

to leach

from whatever container it is put in that is why it is

recommended to

use glass.
