Guest guest
Hi there, Amber, > Other things I have noticed since drinking KT: > > frequent stools (which is odd to me since the main side effect is > constipation, right?) No, never constipation. It has a great regulatory effect on the digestion, and often increases the need to visit the bathroom for both ways ;-) > instestinal gas .... Ah, yes, your 'Auspuff' does increase, especially to start with: battle between pathogens in your gut and the goodies from your KT ... KT, like most fermented things, acts as a 'broom' to the gut ;-) HEALTHY! You have to learn to let it out quietly and then pretend there IS NO smell .. .... and everyone else's noses are lacking ;-) > a reduction in appetite Yes, indeed that is one of the pleasurable side-effects if you want to lose weight. If you rather put weight on, it is better to drink the KT after a meal. Guest guest
I have never found KT to be constipating, rather quite the opposite. Frequent stools is far preferred to one or two. Dr. Shillington promotes 4-5/day to be optimal, and since following his regimen I am inclined to totally agree. Less toxins in my body to create havoc. I submit that KT did not cause yours or anyone elses stone, it simply aided in its removal. zoe Friday, November 3, 2006, 10:04:22 AM, you wrote: I recently read where one KT consumer passed a kidney stone. There was some speculation as to whether the passing of the stone was due to KT. I did not form an opion until yesterday. After drinking KT for only a week, I passed a small hard stone from a gland under my tounge. It wasn't painful but I now have a small opening at the end of the gland and I can feel it with my tounge. I am not too worieed about it as I think it will heal. I believe this occured, in part, to drinking KT. Obviously I was predisposed to this, but my thinking is that the KT somehow triggered the event. Other things I have noticed since drinking KT: frequent stools (which is odd to me since the main side effect is constipation, right?). instestinal gas a reduction in appetite

Guest guest
I read the book The Book of Kombucha byh Beth Ann Petro, M.A. It was in her book on page 37 that she mentions constipation as the most frequently reported side effect. She states that it occurs when a person first starts drinking KT, but makes no mention as to whether it eventually goes away. That was NOT my experience! " You have to learn to let it out quietly and then pretend there IS NO smell .. > ... and everyone else's noses are lacking ;-) " That would be impossible since the odor is umm . . . socialbly unacceptable! > > Hi there, Amber, > > > Other things I have noticed since drinking KT: > > > > frequent stools (which is odd to me since the main side effect is > > constipation, right?) > No, never constipation. One highly prized result of drinking KT is regularized bowels. For people with chronic diarhhea, it will help, and for those with constipation issues, it will help. >instestinal gas This is an indication that you need help with digestion and you would be well advised to drink your KT only with food for a few weeks. >a reduction in appetite Many people view this as a positive. However, people who need to gain weight may find their appetites whetted by KT. It is a balancer and detoxifier. --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J.
