Personally I prefer champagne/sparkling wine bottles, because they are designed to withstand a lot of pressure. As long as there isn't too much sugar at bottling time, you should be able to keep those bottles at room temperature. Sander

My husband enjoy a bottle of champagne or spumanti now and then and they are both very fizzy. So I could come across those bottles easily. But how would I enclose the bottles? With a plastic cork? or the usual cork you have to pull out?

I always use crown caps, but I guess you could also use champagne corks (cork or plastic) + wires. Swing top (Grolsch type) beer bottles are also nice. Guest guest
I too am brewing my first batch of KT. It turned cooler right when I started so I am already on day 12. I do have a wonderful baby covering the top. Very thick and healthy. Can I bottle my KT in GT bottles. I think I saw that someone had done this. Any problems using these bottles? Do they need to be kept in the refrigerator? Marjorie in TX

Guest guest
I use Pom tea bottles. I like the wide opening at the top and the cap you can pop on and off. They keep nicely in the fridge and stay fizzy. > > I too am brewing my first batch of KT. It turned cooler right when I > started so I am already on day 12.
