Lets just get on with treating our selves, our kids and preventing

autism in the very near future. Governments compulsively live in the

past and are constitutionally designed to be incapable of dealing with

the present. The immediate future terrifies them.

Here is a beautiful example: when it is from a different kind of

disaster it shows up nicely, doesn't it.

¡ Met Office warned ministers months

ago about flooding !

You could say that the meteorological office warned the UK government

and that they knew about the risks. I don't believe that they did

know: their minds could not comprehend the future; especially in the

part of comprehension that has to do with taking action. That quick,

important part.

You see, government is most easily facilitated with critical logic ---

and you can't be critical about something that has not happened yet,

can you ? Can you pass judgment on a future happening or action ? Not

in our advanced societies: so we have to look after ourselves, and I'm

sure it is much for the best because we are all practicing dealing with

the present and looking into the future for ourselves.

But for getting insurance coverage and avoiding the harmful effects of

too many or the wrong kind of immunisations, our quick thinking will

win out. Eventually the government will follow, when they cannot

ignore what the real leaders have done.
