A question for the medics out there....

Hi folks,

Those who made it yesterday to yum cha would've heard my story of pain, even after all of my fill has been removed, I'm still in pain without lots of codeine, under my breastbone, under my left ribs, and in my back, and down into my left kidney, into my shoulder tip as well as my "normal" phantom gall-bladder pains (GB went bye-bye last year)...

Anyway, I called the Doctor today, and he's not in town, but managed to get him via mobile. Seeing as he had a look for a slip or erosion the other day and found nothing, he's now thinking stomach ulcer and if the drug treatment doesn't work, then maybe a hernia...... I have to hot -foot it to my GP as soon as Jon gets home (late) with a list of antibiotics and antacids to take (I'm already on Pariet, but he wants me to move to Nexium).

So, the question is, why wasn't this picked up in my barium study pre-op- and how much does a hernia cost to have fixed - aaarrrggghhhhhh! Is this a cnomon thing for us banded?
