Guest guest
Well a party is a good idea, it started with a bang 12 months ago so it should have another kick along to reflect the warming counsel and friendships that have been nurtured on this site. I don't know what everyone feels like doing, anything just make it loud! Nx
Guest guest
I think this deserves a party as well, but can we first think about doing a poll to try and establish what suits people best in respect to times. Some of us will turn up anywhere with bells on if it involves food and drink, but to try and get a really good group together for this event, perhaps some of the people who can't normally attend these gatherings, can indicate what works best for them. If we have 120 members, it would be great to see 40 of them at the first birthday party. My suggestion would be to post a notice everyday for a week or two, just to collect the attention of those that don't log on every day, and set up a poll firstly for best day and time, ie prefer Sat day, Sat night, Sun day, Sun night, or anytime suits. Midweek is too hard for many people and Friday nights may not work for those not in inner Sydney. Anyway that's my ideas to kick this off. It would be great if others could put in their two cents worth about any aspect of this function so we can try and make it our biggest and best yet. Guest guest
I was thinking last night after reading Mazz's post that maybe we could go to Balmoral and sit on the sand, or sit on the grass, coffee shops close by etc etc... then I thought that all those wildlife rescue people would come along and try to roll us all back into the harbour! Mel >> Good Morning everyone,> > This princess is having an avoidance moment - too many boxes, too many things and not wanting to get stuck in and do the last bit which is always the longest....> > So about the 1 year old birthday bash, I had thought that weather permitting a picnic would be good. There are so many wonderful places all around the Sydney area, down the coast for the Wollongong crowd, etc - anyway just chucking in a thought or two..... of course - outside would be wonderful... some of us could walk (um hum) around the surrounding area, some of us could lie down and rest (yes please) some of us could just sit and think.....> > Love > Ghyll>
Guest guest
I like the idea of a picnic too, however how many people own those big beach tent things that we could throw up in case of unfavourable weather. Balmoral is a nice spot and don't you be so cheeky about wildlife rescue - collectively we have lost lots of weight already and perhaps by the 2nd birthday we will look like a bunch of Miss Australia contestants instead of ..... I'm not even going to say it... OK I'm off to powder my nose and then into town to the Capitol Theatre - will send a post this arvo and let me know how it went. Very excited Cherie > > > > Good Morning everyone, > > > > This princess is having an avoidance moment - too many boxes, too many > things and not wanting to get stuck in and do the last bit which is > always the longest.... > > > > So about the 1 year old birthday bash, I had thought that weather > permitting a picnic would be good. Guest guest
Today I have just approved our 119th member. Wow all these members in just under a year. We have grown in leaps and bounds isn't it amazing? Thank you to everyone who has joined our little home and made this a great support group. We started our group in November 2005 and we are now coming up to our 1st birthday and I think we should celebrate this occasion. Any ideas you may have let us know. Love to all Mazz
