Hallo everyone, before I get started, I have to warn you, I am in an

awful downer mood, feeling crap actually. Welcome to the new members

and glad all the newly banded are copeing okay. Sorry the bowling

fizzled last week and Rosie, I may be interested in the Italian

singles nite, I'll let you know if my mood ever improves.

I had a great holiday but it rained 8 days out of the 12. No mind,

the Wintersun festival was great fun, heaps and heaps of incredible

hotrods, great bands and people dancing in the streets. A really

great atmosphere. I was propositioned within 10 mins. of arriving,

an old friend who was impressed with my new look, I was definitely

not going there but it was flattering. I met a guy, the first night,

good looking, excellent clothes, a real estate agent. We had 5 or 6

drinks together, (he paid) all was going well, then I decided he was

just like every other guy I've met. Different picture, same story,

blah blah, full of sh.t!! So when he went to the bar I went

elsewhere, no good-by, just bolted!! After that I didn't even look,

I am so over men. Sam rang several times, the last yesterdy before I

left to come home. I wish he would f..k off, it's like a knife in my

heart and I don't need it nor want it anymore. I shopped and

shopped, it was incredible, so many bargains. I bought 8 (yes eight)

pair of shoes, heaps of nice clothes and an incrdibly beautiful wall

hanging (at least I think it is). God help me when the card

statements arrive. Anyway, I had a huge argument at the airport when

I was leaving. The beeper kept going off when I tried to walk

through. I took off two beacelets as they regularly set the thing

off. No way, they made me take all my jewellry off, my glasses were

packed away, I couldn't see what I was doing and became agitated.

Then this bitch (with the POWER and a head like a dragon) insists I

take off my boots. Now, I am head down rs up untieing the boots and

about $70,000 worth of gold is sitting on the other side of the

divider ready for any loose fingered person to help themselves.

Well, I lost it, no receipt, no security for all the valuables and

then the guy says remove your necklace, it's from the waist up

causing the problem, so I scream well, if you know that why am I

being made to remove my bloody f..king boots???? Anyway, I finally

pass through, I took everything off, threw it at them,

coats, scarves, hankys, even offered to remove my under things. Then,

they start paging me to get on the plane. I said to the hostess, I

am right here but you can damded wll wait for me because I am not

walking onto that tarmac without my boots on AND laced!!! So, I held

up the flight and good enough too. Gee some people wank themselves

on their power trips but guess what? I don't think they will forget

this girl nor the language lessons they learnt, not in a hurry

anyway. My niece was freaking, she said they'll never let you

travel. They did, I'm home. Now, the misery bit, empty house,

lonliness etc. I have decided I don't like my life. The lovely

Kirsty picked me up and Leah and the boys came down and we went for

a Chinese meal but I just feel rotten. What to do? Who knows? I am

just over it, lonely, work, clean, trying to make a life for myself

but not really suceeding, but today it all seems too hard and I'm

sorry for myself. Anyway, that's my story for today, hope you are

all well and happier than I am feeling. When do you leave Mel??

Catch up soon. Maree. xx

Oh Maree

Firstly it is so lovely to have you back here in Sunny Sydney. I am sorry you had such a shit of a time at the airport. I guess the thing is that these little people with no importance like to make it so that they are important, hence the picking on regular folk. We had a similar incident coming back from Melbourne about 2 years ago. They `detected' explosive material on my Da's shoes. Umm hello, if I was a terrorist wouldn't I be inclined to think of such things and not have evidence on me? They really are the pits, bit like transit cops; they just seem to be there to make our lives hell. I would rather have a sniffer dog up checking me out, at lest they are impartial.

You have to stop taking Sam's calls. Maree, I notice a definite sadness when he calls you. I am sure your phone has caller id. When he comes up, you have to let it go to message and then delete without listening to it. He upsets you, he knows this and I think that he is calling you in an attempt to wear you down. You know that you will be disappointed if you let him back into your life and you know how bad he is for you, so you have to kick that habit. I understand that you are lonely, but I think that there is a connection between you hearing from Sam and your plunging back into sadness even deeper than before. He is the trigger; you have to stop him having that control on you. You are a strong and beautiful woman; you don't need someone else's sloppy seconds.

We are bowling on Thursday night, you have to come along and give us all the goss on your holiday. I can't wait to see you and give you a big hug!

Maree,

I know there is nothing I can say to bring you out of this mood you

are in. I'm sure it has a lot to do with what happened at the airport

I am glad you are back with us, you have been mised terribly.

As for Sam, treat him like you know he deserves >:)

As for feeling miserable sitting in your home alone get your rs out

into that garden and work it so hard you can't think. You know that

worked fro you last time. Just make sure you're not waring any of the

new shoes.

Oh, pooh!! The green would go so well with the native grasses I

planted and the blue with the Iris, all sequined and sparkling, the

red with the roses etc. You have given me an artisitic inspiration

what I can do with the old ones I will now chuck out. Did I ever say

my feet have shrunk a whole size as well as the rest of me? I was a 10

now I am a 9. Of course when I was young and thinner I was a 9 but

it's been a long time. M.

Hi Maree, I'm so glad you're back. I'm sure I speak for everyone

else here too, (WE MISSED YOU! MMMWAH! (big sloppy kiss))

Maree, please don't feel bad. I know your mood will improve.

You're just on a bit of a downer because that's what happpens when

you go on holidays and you shop and shop and shop. It's like a drug

and now that your life is back to normal you're feeling flat. Give

yourself a couple of days, and you'll see that things are not so bad

after all.

You have a home, a job, your freedom, and your family and friends

that love you.

As for Sam, you need to tell him not to ring you anymore. And if he

continues, you could report him to Telstra as a nuisance caller. If

he's ringing from a landline, you can have his number blocked by

Telstra. And if he's calling you on your mobile, don't answer it.

He's bound to get the message sooner or later.

Re the airport. I can just imagine the fiasco there. Oh my God!

Funny, the guy said the problem was from the waist up. They reckon

the band has nothing to do with it. But I wonder.... hmmm.

I'll keep you posted about the singles night. It's not definite

yet. But in the meantime I wouldn't mind organising somewhere where

we can go dancing. I posted about this last night, so maybe you

could help me out there?

You take care of yourself. Luv ya, Rosie.

Mareee,

Hmmm artistic inspiration: gardening, old shoes... well I've seen it

done with boots, but I can just imagine your garden with beautiful

sequined shoes and some exotic plant hanging out of them. LOL

I wonder if you have any stillettos that could be used for windchimes,

or open toes sandles as a water feature perhaps? The posibilities are

endless. He he he.
