Another name for the stuff is " gold " , but nevermind, they have got at least the first letter right. $525 may be bad, but given the latest Rand/Dollar exchange rate of R11.37 to the dollar but excluding any forward cover that may be necessary for the transaction of buying one tube of the stuff, excluding bank charges and customs and exise duty and the profit margin that the retailer may want, you are looking at a price of round R5969.25 a tube. What you need to do, is mortgage your house and borrow against all your pension funds and buy a tube or two of the stuff which you can either resell on the futures market, or, if you are less of a speculator than that, hang onto it till the price shoots up, and then you sell it. Chances are that you may find buyers desperate to buy, not because of the bargain that they can get, but rather out of necessity. Chances are that your profit margins could exceed your interest rates that you would have paid on your mortgage. Here in South Africa, a tube of GranEx would be regarded as a good Rand hedger. Cheers. " I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not foresake them. " (Isaiah 42:16)
