Guest guest
When you say end stage patients and you can see the signs and symptoms, what are some of these?
Guest guest
End stage patients vary and in some cases can be reversed. Speaking without any authority I should think yellowing of skin and " whites " of the eye, swollen abdomen (ascites with fluid retention enough to cause breathing to be labored), throwing up blood (from varices), coma (encephalopathy).

Doctors have treatments that will reverse these. I myself went into a coma two years ago, came out of it in two days, and have been alert ever since.

Guest guest
My sister has experienced all those symptoms. She has been rejectd as a possible rceipent for liver transpaltation. Currently she is bed ridden and in and out of the hospital every week or so. She seems especially bad right now and I know she will not be here much longer. Our father died of cirrhosis in 1969 but was severe drinker. She has NASH.
Guest guest
My sister is very sick(read reply to other message). She has not had stomach drained but does take pills to ward off fluid retention. She was in coma back in January.
