Guest guest
It's all very typical signs of the healing-regression. It's good. I would expect it to last a couple more weeks. Just make sure you have an antifungal strategy in place like Diflucan or Amphotericin B or a good amount of natural antifungals. - Stan > > My 11 year old son has been taking 500mg 2 times per day valtrex for 7 > days. Guest guest
This healing-regression is very common for our kids, but not for typical folks on Valtrex. Most nerotypical people do NOT see this type of reaction. There is something specific to autism that is causing this. We think it's a combination of detox and a virus that is indrectly or directly affecting the motabolism and the brain. - Stan > > > > My 11 year old son has been taking 500mg 2 times per day valtrex for > 7 > > days. Guest guest
Newer folks, if you take a peek a the " files " link you'll find a file called Valtrex Posts and you can read through some of the gains and the regressions that people have seen from the therapy. This unique healing-regression usually lasts between 10 and 30 days and can start as early as day 1 of therapy. During the regressive healing stage you'll likely see some splinter developmental gains mixed in. The regression typically ends and the gains typically stay and grow. If your child is NOT a responder to this therapy you typically will see NOTHING good or bad happen... just nothing. So in summary, the regression is typically a normal and posative sign. Keep us posted with the regressions and developmental gains and others will learn from you and give you feedback. - Stan > > > > My 11 year old son has been taking 500mg 2 times per day valtrex for > 7 > > days. Stan, i think this would be hard to gauge for my son as he is mostly recovered so the signs may be so subtle or maybe not i am just speculating. but i know he has coldsore virus so i may want to use treating for the virus only as a indication to the length of time on this treatment. are you doing other things with your child? we did biomed stuff 5 years ago for about 1.5 years and have done nothing since but i am greedy wanting him not only recovered but cured so i just took the plunge and started mb12 and forsee valtrex for june so i can monitor his progress and have the regression session not affect him in school. are you still searching for further interventions to further improve/help your child? i know i should be happy to have him mostly recovered but i would feel negligent to not do all in my power to further his progress and ability to have higher education or trades school skills if he choose that route. but right now we are a far way off struggling scholastically about 1.5 years behind in reading and math plus some fine motor issues that remain making writing hard and challenging. > > >
Guest guest
Hi Stan- Would you mind saying more about your son becoming neurotypical? Does that mean he doesn't have any residual issues, he's off the diet and supps, etc? thanks, > > > > > > > > just a thought? if one was treating just for the viruses that > > were > > > > known to exsist, what length of time would one use valtrex or other > > > > viral medication? would there be any signs that it was no longer > > > > needed or is it only through testing? > > Stan, i think this would be hard to gauge for my son as he is mostly > > recovered so the signs may be so subtle or maybe not i am just > > speculating. but i know he has coldsore virus so i may want to use > > treating for the virus only as a indication to the length of time on > > this treatment. are you doing other things with your child? we did > > biomed stuff 5 years ago for about 1.5 years and have done nothing > > since but i am greedy wanting him not only recovered but cured so i > > just took the plunge and started mb12 and forsee valtrex for june so i > > can monitor his progress and have the regression session not affect > > him in school. are you still searching for further interventions to > > further improve/help your child? i know i should be happy to have him > > mostly recovered but i would feel negligent to not do all in my power > > to further his progress and ability to have higher education or trades > > school skills if he choose that route. but right now we are a far way > > off struggling scholastically about 1.5 years behind in reading and > > math plus some fine motor issues that remain making writing hard and > > challenging. > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Nerotypical in my definition means his brain is operating like a " typical " person (whatever that is) and that his development is looking " typical " Now, there is no biomedical intervention for learning things. His brain and body look free of his autism and he has been catching up ever since. He still goes to speech, PT, RDI, and hippotherapy, but if you saw him in his classroom or at home you wouldn't know he had a formal autism diagnosis in June of 2004. Today his is still on the diet for the most part and he takes zinc and vitamin C on a daily basis. That's about it. - Stan > > > > > > > > > > just a thought? if one was treating just for the viruses that > > > were > > > > > known to exsist, what length of time would one use valtrex or > other > > > > > viral medication? would there be any signs that it was no longer > > > > > needed or is it only through testing? > > > Stan, i think this would be hard to gauge for my son as he is mostly > > > recovered so the signs may be so subtle or maybe not i am just > > > speculating. but i know he has coldsore virus so i may want to use > > > treating for the virus only as a indication to the length of time on > > > this treatment. are you doing other things with your child? we did > > > biomed stuff 5 years ago for about 1.5 years and have done nothing > > > since but i am greedy wanting him not only recovered but cured so i > > > just took the plunge and started mb12 and forsee valtrex for june > so i > > > can monitor his progress and have the regression session not affect > > > him in school. are you still searching for further interventions to > > > further improve/help your child? i know i should be happy to have him > > > mostly recovered but i would feel negligent to not do all in my power > > > to further his progress and ability to have higher education or > trades > > > school skills if he choose that route. but right now we are a far way > > > off struggling scholastically about 1.5 years behind in reading and > > > math plus some fine motor issues that remain making writing hard and > > > challenging. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Did he previously have learning disabilities, and this cleared up? Has rdi been helpful? --- Stan Kurtz wrote: > Nerotypical in my definition means his brain is > operating like a " typical " person (whatever > that is) and that his development is looking > " typical " > > Now, there is no biomedical intervention for > learning things.
