Guest guest
Today is my son's (10 years old) 1st day of the b12 nasal spray. I didn't notice anything in particular at the beginning. I gave him the spray around 10:30am. Then in the early morning, we went to a special needs recreational activities held by an agency. Normally, he loves the place, and there's computer game at the end to reward him. However, today, at the music class, the music teacher didn't do in sequence of Preston's will, and even missed the " This Old Man " song. Preston was agitated for 10 mins. already, finally he cannot hold it, because the teacher skipped the song. Preston hit and scratched his dad. Then in the evening, he was more verbal stimming, and giggling, not easily controlled as before, and the tolerance level is getting low. How many of you that has tried nasal spray Mb12 has increased stimming, silliness, and lower tolerance level at the beginning of the trial? And how long do these " side effects " wear away and gone? Thanks Joanna.
Guest guest
Typically we do not see an increase of negative symptoms, but I've been told by people in the group that there can be a period of time in the beginning where we see these negative symptoms. Is this your first MB12 trial? Does your spray also have folinic? I would go slowly. I would probably try spraying every other day rather than every day to start. Keep us posted. - Stan > > Today is my son's (10 years old) 1st day of the b12 nasal spray. I > didn't notice anything in particular at the beginning. Guest guest
Hi , The dose is right for his weight, but you just don't know about the metabolism. I always suggest that people try changing dosages to see what works the best. The " right " dose should be the goal. If the sleeping pattern changed with the MB12, then I would lower it. It can give you energy and if you take it in the evening or if the dosage is too high it can keep you up. - Stan > > > > Today is my son's (10 years old) 1st day of the b12 nasal spray. Guest guest
Hi Stan, That is the first dosage trial for him. I gave him last Saturday, and I skipped Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - Tuesday he went back to school, teacher commented a little more stimming, but not too much, and I see him back to normal. Today Wednesday, I skipped, then I'll try again Thursday tomorrow, because Friday is off for our school district, so that he won't be aggressive for 2 days, just maybe tomorrow 1 day. I don't know how to go slowly than this, is there a way to spray less, like a half-way spray? And yes, it contains folinic acid. The DAN! doctor want us try stop and then try again, so we'll see tomorrow. If not, he also mentioned just the mB12 instead of the combination. If it is the folinic acid, does mb12 requires folinic acid to work properly? If so, and how is he going to get his folinic acid? One question, my son was very aggressive and totally out of whack when he was on DMG/folinic acid/b12 capsules from Kirkman. Is there any relationship??? Thanks again. Guest guest
That's an interesting observation. Yes, it could mean something. The way to lower the dosage further would be to add saline to the spray, but you may want to talk to your doctor first. I like the ideas of taking the folinic out, especially since you have seen negative reactions to DMG/folinic/B12 orally. - Stan > > > > > > Today is my son's (10 years old) 1st day of the b12 nasal spray.
