big thank you for this information and your call to

action.

Below is a recent email I sent to TAHFIN

Texas AIDS Health Fraud Information Network (TAHFIN) ·

This page was last modified Monday, February 06, 2006 .

Please report problems with this web site to

webmaster@... .

Misinformation such as this and the one you quote are

intentional and organized. The same effort was recently

released against St 's Wort and Ma Huang (Ephedrine) two

beneficial safe herbs (when taken naturally as a tea) but

developed as isolated concentrated extracts

(phyto-pharmaceuicals) then banned the natural herbs. The

same strategy applies to gun-control and other hot issues

that " they " want to promote or raise campaign funds

for/against. [end of triad]

I do feel a professional response should be made to the news

media that promote this bias.

important references are the FDA and CDC which have

investigated and found _No Links_ to any death or illness to

kombucha. Another prime referral would be the Cornell Food

Science Study and also the FDA's MedWatch program (toll free

number below)

The Cornell Study is a excellent one to get behind as it

accredited and responsible, addressing issues of safety and

health very scientifically and professional . It address

alcohol, acetic acid (acidosis poison referred to in the

rumors) antipathogentic ability, everything one needs to

know. my link on my site

http://www.happyherbalist.com/analysis_of_kt_cornell.htm but

the actual Cornell Study link should be used (I can't seem

to find it for some reason)

When I do these things I think too much stuff comes up with

it and " they " fail to hear my response.

Fact Sheet Errors

Your " Fact Sheet " on kombucha contains errors and omissions.

Your Adverse Reaction:

one possible death was investigated and found to be

unrelated to kombucha tea.

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/00039742.htm

http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~lrd/tpmushrm.html

http://www.kombucha-research.com/papers/fda_letter1.htm

http://www.kombucha-research.com/papers/fda_bacteria.htm

Physicians and the public should report adverse health

effects associated with consumption of Kombucha tea to FDA's

MedWatch program, telephone or (301)

738-7553. will report all concerns. They are keeping records

and THERE ARE NO ADVERSE EFFECTS. There are in fact more

adverse effects from drinking WATER. (2,000+ reported

annually every year for the past 4 years) Therefore since

kombucha is made with water maybe your logic will tie those

together.

Please get real and reports FACTS.
