Guest guest
I am being forced into moving from my location( a whole other story!) but have scobies that have been in a container with tea from that batch for a month or better...I had no new brewing containers to use them till I drank what I had. some of them are kind of dark looking, but they have produced several batches previously, and it may be just scoby aging!!?? So except for mold is there a way to know if a scoby is old, or 'dead' and would not work for tea again? I am trying to thin things out for the move, have been giving scobies to people who needed and would use them, but have a few that I am unsure about. Can anyone give me a little more info about this, I would appreciate it! And if anybody is near the Seattle or Everett area in Washington State, I would be happy to hand one over to you if you need it!! I still have some fresher looking babies that were more recently born!! I am just not sure how this move will go, and trying to prepare for the survival of my mushrooms and plants. Thanks, Janet
