Guest guest
I posted a while back about this...I almost passed out when I read the labels. It's in children's shampoos (even the "natural" ones), bubble bath, toothpaste, body baths, everything. They use it as an additive supposedly to keep things from freezing or solidifying during shipping. Sorry, I'd rather have frozen liquids than a poisoned child! Check the labels on your products also...you'd be shocked to see what goes in. Guest guest
Yes, we live in a very toxic society today! I feel this has to do with alot of the cronic/epedemic illnesses that is flooding our country. It is all about $$!! All we can do is learn from, not panic, and do what we can to change things a little at a time and hopefully our children well learn from it and have a healthier future for themselves and there children. From what I understand it is getting harder and harder to find true organic. There are those trying to get some control over the organic industry due to the fact(I believe) it has become prosperous and more people are waking up/learning the truth about all the chemically processed foods, supplies, medicine, etc. The oranic relgulations are being challenged as we speak, in other words they are trying to lower the standards on the chemicals allowed in the organic industry. Thankfully some wont stand for this, but some well. My son was born disabled, it is possible it was from the pesticides I worked around/handled daily in a flower shop. Cant be sure of this, due to fact I also got a severe flue illness while pregnant and this could have disrupted his fetal developement!! But in my research I did learn some about pesticides, toxins, chemicals, etc. Then to top it off, my son had a reaction to his vacs(ANTI FREEZE is just one of the toxins in them, and we all have some knowledge about this one due to PEG) he recovered with horrible side affects! You wouldnt believe the toxins/chemicals in our childrens vacs. Once you are chemically damaged, then we react to more and more chemicals. The only cure is true organic!!! Guest guest
Hi, Be careful if you are doing gfcf, as I know some of their products contain oats and I'm not sure about gluten and/or casein. Guest guest
That's basically all I use on him now. And since his skin is so dry, I give him an "oil bath" - his name for the 100% Colloidal Oatmeal Bath - twice a week. I'm concerned for myself as well, but nowhere near what I am for him. Guest guest
Funny that you mention the profit factor...I just finished reading an article about brain and spinal implants (neuromodulators) and their usefulness in treating several disorders. The pros are that so many people have experienced relief from a variety of disorders and pain, and the con is that the medical society in general feels that it is not profitable, even though there is a definite need. Sad society.Jennie wrote: Yes, we live in a very toxic society today! I feel this has to do with alot of the cronic/epedemic illnesses that is flooding our country. It is all about $$!! Guest guest
Not all avenno is ok, I see that the baby aveeno soap has one PEG in it. Try softsoap products they do not contain PEG. it's soft enough for children and/or babies. Reply-To: miralax Date: Mon, 27 Feb 2006 17:28:07 -0800 (PST) To: miralax Subject: Re: Yikes! Guest guest
I use the Softsoap for myself, but Sammy reacts to the fragrance in it and it irritates his eczema...that's why I stick with the oatmeal baths. It's unreal that virtually every label indicates some form of PEG. Somebody's making a bundle off this stuff.Robbi Mac wrote: Not all avenno is ok, I see that the baby aveeno soap has one PEG in it.
