Concerned parents contacted News 4 WOAI wanting to know more about the fight that happened at St. Pius Catholic school on the northeast side of town. The school tells us they believe the fight was staged, but police are still investigating. San police aren't saying much because the fight involved students all under the age of 18. But we did confirm the alleged assault happened in late January inside the cafeteria of St. Pius off Harry Wurzbach and Loop 410. It was reported to police by the mother of the boy who claims he was targeted. " He tells his mom that he's been bullied and he wanted to make this outcry to her that this has been going on. He was kicked and assaulted. " San Police spokesperson, Sandy Gutierrez, said. The mother told police the five students who ganged up on her 12-year-old autistic son taped the fight and then posted it on YouTube.com. The video was recently taken off the internet. But an attorney for the family told us the video is real and has been turned over to police. " Whenever you have a criminal offense that occurs, it's against the law and there are consequences for that type of behavior, " Gutierrez explained. We contacted the principal of St. Pius Catholic School. School officials didn't want to speak on camera, but they did send us a brief statement. They admit there was a fight on school grounds. But after investigating they believe the fight was staged and no one was seriously injured.
