Guest guest
I originally took Paxil for treating a depression after my divorce. I stayed on it for about 3 years and after I remarried, I decided I no longer needed to stay on the medication. I've been on this board for a while and I listen to all of the stories and I really feel for all of you who are suffering through this change. My problem seems to be completely different. While I was on Paxil, I really didn't have any sexual side effects except the delayed ejaculation. My libido seemed fine and the delayed ejaculation never really caused any trouble for my sex life. Now that I'm off of Paxil, I have new side effects that ARE affecting my sex life. I now have premature ejaculation that I didn't have before starting the medication. Also, at times, I even have trouble getting an erection. I feel I stil have a high libido and am very interested in making love to my wife but the equipment doesn't seem to work the way it used to. What would you suggest I do in this scenario? My doctor suggested Viagra since the problem seems to be physical. How about herbal options? Should I go back on a low-dose (maybe 5mg) of Paxil? Obviously, Paxil caused this behavior but it ony occured after I stopped taking it. Any insight would be apprecated. D-
Guest guest
Hi Deepak, I've never heard of erectile problems starting only after quitting an SSRI but I believe anything is possible with these drugs. Have you tried some natural supplements like arginine and/or ginkgo biloba to see if they help? Vornan > > I originally took Paxil for treating a depression after my divorce. Guest guest
I've tried Ginko for a couple of months and it helped a little. I started L-Arginine 500mg once a day but it seems worse now after 2 weeks. Does it take longer to have an effect? Viagra does work immediately.
