Guest guest
Well Im here for a winge tonight. Dr put in a standard 10cm band, there was already 1/2 cm in it so dr put in another 1cm. I had my first fill today, and It was the worst experience of my life. Not to scare anyone who hasnt had a fill yet . This apparently is not the normal reaction. Dr had a go in the rooms to access port, but couldnt do it easily. said I should have it done under xray. I did expect this so this was ok until they said next appt for a fill under xray was end on june. This would make me 12 weeks post opp without a fill, And I wasnt very ahppy about this. So GOD BLESS THE DR he organised to do it at the hospital in his lunch time.. So I went to charlstown square for a couple oh hrs. (got lost ended up in hamilton). Dr had a few goes then changed needles, then a strange wave of heat came over me followed by a sick feeling............ I have had quartazone injections into joints and I thought this was painfull. Let me tell u that it wasnt. I also had me 2 yo daughter with me thank god she wasnt in the room.Dr said that its still very tender, swollen and scar tissue is new because of surgery. Please tell me that this is not what I have to go through every time. I dont think it is worth it. left home at 9.30am this morning and just got home at 5.45pm. what a day.Going to have some soup, as I lost the breakfast this morning.(sorry maybe tooo many graffics). I have never soo needles so long before. So much for . IT only feels like haveing a blood test. Someone is telling porkies. naz
Guest guest
Hi Naz Sorry to hear your of experience with your first fill. As Elaine suggested it is the exception rather than the rule. I have had 3 fills in recent weeks, and I have to honestly say it was how you had heard it - like having a blood test. Hope you bounce back from yesterday's experience quickly. Where are you - Hamilton - is that Tassie, NZ???
