Hi, I took zoloft for 10 month. I stoped because I was loosing libido but when

not taking any drug libido didnt came back. When I was touching my gf it gave me

no arousal. My doctor said it cannot be these drugs fault but... I have read

that this may be permanent but dont trust to that! there are 2 ways how it could

cause permanent demage if it kills neurons or do a DNA changes. Realize this

about 100 milions of people took only zoloft (imagin how many took SSRI at all!)

so it certainly do not kill neurons(researches...). DNA changes may be permanet

but it doesnt affect you during your live - DNA mutations are random and simply

cannot happen in all cells same way + SSRI are not mutagenic. What may be true

is that it changes gene expresion. But these changes are NOT permanent. Tricky

is that may last for generations. But you have to realize that maybe next day

things will be getting better. Changes of gene expresion is how your body adapt

to enviroment. So if u r no longer taking drugs it will get recovered oneday. I

have also read that people who suffered from lowered libido after long taking

kokain get also recovered. Back to my case I took Gingko and I tried few pills

of yohimbin. Maybe Ginkgo have some positive effect. After about 4 month my

libido started to grow, now it is about 90% back.Mechanism of it would be same

someone just need more time. I have sex every day with my gf that I am dating

with for 6 years and I like it! So my advise is: no matter how is frustrating

try to not panic. I very wish you luck and never give up! I am from Czech

Republic so excuse my english. You ll be good boys
