Guest guest
I am in the process of starting up my own ideal practice in Ohio. I have had a hard time getting information about exactly what is required by the ADA. Some of the space I liked best (cheap, good location, funky old building) had a bathroom that was not ADA compliant. I assume that I would have to change that in order for the insurers to approve my site should they do a visit( they usually do here). They owner is funky and old just like the building and said he had never heard of the ADA and wasn't interested in paying for any ADA required changes. I called several insurers and after some frustration with their phone trees still haven't heard what they require. Also, do I need an HI/LO exam table? One that someone can easily get onto? They are REALLY expensive, even used. I have heard from some who say I do, others say no. I also was looking at autoclaves and while I found a nice inexpensive one, I may do the disposable route and beg my friend the dentist to autoclave a few things for me. Anyway, anyone who has any answers or ideas for me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks Kris
