Guest guest
My daughter has asked me twice now if I posted this recipe on the message board. I guess she thinks it's a good one. Actually, it's just a slight variation to the almond cookies on page 528. They are a little easier! 1-1/2 c crispy almonds (process to a fine meal in a food processor) 1/2 c butter 1 c arrowroot 1/2 cup MAPLE SYRUP 1/2 tsp sea salt 1 tsp plus vanilla handful of chocolate chips Add above ingredients to processed crispy almonds. It will be gooey. Spread it in a oiled square pan (I use stoneware) and bake at 300 degrees for a while. I can't remember how long, I'm thinking it was 30 minutes or so. When I took them out the corners were just starting to pull away but it was still real soft in the middle, almost a little doughy. I removed them from the oven and let them sit in the stoneware so the center could cook without them drying out. Then I cut them like a brownie. They are really good.
