Ask them how they are taking the remedy. Best case scenerio, the drops just 'flow' out of the bottle. However, anyone who has taken these knows that this isn't always the case. It could be they are shaking them out and thinking they are getting the prescribed dosage but they are getting less. If this is a the case, a couple of tricks. I have found that if you ( in this case the patient) puts the cap on and turn it cap side down and hit it on your hand (pretty hard) ( hopefully this isn't considered a succusion!) and then open the cap and blow strongly into the hole (enough alcohol in there I am not worried about contamination) the remedies flow more easily.  You could also suggest that  they dipense the dosage onto a spoon so
