Question on sulfur

There is a lady on another list that is allergic to MSM--she thinks it is

the sulfur in it. She's wondering if she would be able to use DMSO. I am

not sure--does DMSO have sulfur like MSM does?

DMSO represents di-methyl sulfoxide so yes there is sulfur present. DMSO degrades partially in the body to MSM so this could be problematic for her if she is truly allergic to MSM. Some people are allergic to the 0.1% fillers that they add to maintain dryness and prevent caking.blessings..

That's good advice. DMSO can be so rough that I would suggest she test out

this hypothesis first with MSM that is known to be free of fillers and other

agents. The only one I know of is MSM from www.msm-msm.com. Kerry has his

own testing done and will refuse product that is adulterated. I prefer his

Lignisul brand and would not try this on his cheaper brands, at least not to

start with. I think Carl Loren's MSM is probably free from fillers also.

With my early use of MSM I had problems with flow agents, particularly FDA

approved silica sand.
