Hi everyone!

Today, March 21st , is the first World Down Syndrome Day. It was started by

Down Syndrome International and will be celebrated today in Taiwan. See

www.worlddownsyndromeday.org. Today was chosen, 3/21, because of the

significance of trisomy of the 21st chromosome.

Objective & Outcome of WDSD: The objective of WDSD is to

commemorate, create and accomplish a competent level of awareness and

understanding of Down syndrome. The desired outcome of WDSD is to highlight the

potentials and abilities of people with Down syndrome to be an integral part of

an inclusive community.
