Guest guest
Mercury is not stored in the fat cells. Andy > Barb, > > Is this true? If it is then I can fatten my kid up, which would give him somewhere to store it and deal with the stuff at a slower pace as he gradually lost weight???? I didn't manage to open this attachment so maybe it confirms what you say already. > > Jon. > > > ---- Original Message ----- > From: Barb Romkema > @y... > Sent: Saturday, April 14, 2001 5:47 PM > Subject: Re: [ ] Re: OT - Eye Symptoms (Andy, McCandless, Bassett, Berni... > > > Remember, you don't look for the mercury level in the hair, you look for the " scatter pattern " that shows impaired minerals transport in the hair. That is the sign of mercury toxicity. Kids will only have it in their hair if exposure has been fairly recent. So many many of us have had low levels in hair and much more mercury coming out. It's stored in the fat cells. > Barb > Re: [ ] Re: OT - Eye Symptoms (Andy, McCandless, Bassett, Berni... > > > In a message dated 4/13/01 5:49:19 PM Pacific Daylight Time, kc62765@a... > writes: > > > > You know mercury can be zip and later come out. > > > How many of you have low mercury readings on the hair test, and then later > get high levels come out with chelation? > > Margaret > > ======================================================= >
Guest guest
Andy, I am confused. I thought that the reason mercury takes so long to come out was because it IS stored in the fat cells in the body. Could you clarify this?? Guest guest
I just noticed this post from way back. Where is mercury stored. ??? I thought it was fat cells. I think it is kinda strange that we didn't have any show up when I tested. I have this feeling it means it is hiding, but hiding where????? This is probably strange , but I think the fact that we didn't have any actually see any means that there is some . People who are not really all that toxic would excrete some . wouldn't they. We all have accumulations over the years , even the healthy folks. I think they would excrete a little bit of everything like, some lead , some mercury etc. People that are more toxic might not show any unless provocation removed the other metals first like the lead , we saw. I am probably not making all that much sense cause maybe there is some kind of pattern like lead comes first, then whatever , then mercury. Does this make sense to anyone.??? Just wondering .... Is it possible that this NO SHOW at first is indicative of stored Mercury.... More so than someone who has it show up right away??? kelly
Guest guest
, We had tested 2 times 1 for Hair and one time after 1 dose of DMSA.... Mercury Levels were Not able to be detected at that time. At the beginning of this month we did 3 days of DMSA and low and behold, the Mercury levels are Moderate...which means, that YES he is storing the Mercury somewhere in his body. I have read that Mercury is often times the last thing to come out when doing chelation because (depending on when the exposure was) the longer you wait, the " more setttled into the tissues the Mercury is. I've read several case studies from Lynn Redwood that show the same results that got..... No Mercury to begin with. This is why hair analysis is a waste of time if the exposure wasn't fairly recent.. Have you read Andy's counting rules on interpreting the test results? Before I knew about the counting rules, I would look at the test results and say to myself, this does not look like a child with Mercury Poisoning, but the counting rules held true in the case of my son. I am SO EXCITED about the 3rd test result. It means that with Chelation, my son has the opportunity to IMPROVE!!! I'm going to start round 2 today... Best wishes! Guest guest
Hey Yes I have Andys book . I will check. I did the counting rules and was sure they applied to my son. There were very many highs and lows. I think it is stored somewhere, like I said , I know we had lead coming out. I just was wndering isn't it strange that we had even less after chelation than before. The levels were from urine testing . did you have any problems when the mercury started coming as opposed to the other metals?? you know like more side effects or anything? kelly Have you read Andy's counting rules on interpreting the test results? Guest guest
Yes I think that it is strange to have less coming out after Mercury..... It could be that your child's Mercury is bound tighter in the tissues and it could take alot of time to get it all out? I'm not an expert, so I'm not sure. About problems... the only problem that I have seen so far is Josh gets a rash sometimes... Other than that, he seems to do so much better when he's on the DMSA as far as seeming " more aware " of his environment.
