Ditto...infact I was just getting ready to make up a big batch of body

powder for an upcoming show - equal parts arrowroot, modified wheat starch,

and kaolin. Info on the safety of this blend would be greatly

appreciated...

When you say a " bath powder " do you mean a " dusting powder " or

something that will be added directly to the bath?

I would be concerned about using Kaolin in a dusting powder. Generally

speaking, inhaling anything other air is not a good idea. Inhaling

minerals (Kaolin) is not good for the lungs. This, as you might

expect, is well documented in the literature.

I've used Kaolin in a facial mask formula. Remember this post?

>DO I understand that inhalation is the major concern?

Yes. If you search Medline

http://gateway.nlm.nih.gov/gw/Cmd

for " kaolin lung? " (without the quotation marks), you get 78 hits. I haven't

read them all, but I would suspect that most of the citations

deal with the problems associated with the inhalation of Kaolin.

> Kaolin is not a hazard topically?

I am not aware of any problems associated with the use of Kaolin in topical

applications.

Now thinking of a liquid after bath powder.

Take a look at these " liquid talc " formulations:
