Guest guest
hi , yeah, i know. no need to feel bad, i was expressing love. this is all true. it just made me feel bad to read what thought i was saying. it made me feel bad for Renata, because what if she thought that's what i meant? not trying to be a chamelion, just trying to clear up a misunderstanding. love, jeremy Re: love, as I see it there is no need for you to feel ambarressed. You know in your heart what is true for you. And you say that this truth is love. So what is there to be embarressed about? The way you express your love? Why? Because someone else doesn´t approve of your way of showing love? Then you have a problem. There will always be someone who will be offended by what you do, no matter what you do. Seeking LAA can turn you into a chameleon and not even that will work because there will always be someone, somewhere who hates chameleons. When we get offended and see things as unloving, we are only having a meeting with our thoughts, with our own offence, our own unlovingness. We walk through the big hall of mirrors and see all the distorted images. In some we see aggressivness, hostility and unlovingness and we think we see someone else in the mirror. Until the image gets clear and we realize that we were looking at ourselves the whole time. That´s all. Love you, > > > hi , > > yikes... > suprisingly, i didn't expect anyone to have this reaction at the time i > wrote it. > i can assure you that despite any *bad judgement* in the wording, i felt > only love for Renata when writing about her...uh...you know. and as far as her > being my possession--nothing could be farther from my truth. she is a gift > that comes and goes as she pleases! > > feeling a little embarrassed right now, > > > > > In a message dated 10/13/2005 2:01:41 P.M. Guest guest
I know how you feel. Tonight I am a bit on the worried side. I all of a sudden started having flu like symptoms today. The swine flu is very bad up here right now, but then again there are a lot of little 12 to 24 hour viruses going around. I have spent most of the day in the bathroom or bed. I really don't deal with this stuff very well as I don't generally get these. I seem to have a natural immunity to them. One thing after another lately. If I were you, I would see an asthma/allergy specialist. In my experience they are much better than pulmonologist in dealing with asthma. Pulmonologists seem to kind of blow asthma off. They are more worried about other forms of COPD and lung disease. Also, next time you see a doctor ask about full spirometry testing and a methacoline challenge. Those are the two tests that will determine whether it is asthma or not. Then there are no questions. Lots of hugs! I was reading about your foot, which almost sounded like something which happens to diabetics. I hope it's doing better. Just an update and background. I am 51 and I seem to have acquired adult onset asthma last spring (possibly from Gerd?). When I finally saw the pulmonolgist, he took me off the QVAR, and I actually had a pretty good summer with NO symptoms for awhile. His theory was that I had just had some asthma symptoms due to a cold/flu. It was a great theory, but I didn't have much faith in it--because I had been having breathing difficulties prior to the cold.About five weeks ago, I got another very mild cold. The asthma symptoms (coughing, panting, etc) returned and the cold took a very long time to go away.So if a mild cold can do that. . . you can imagine how I feel about getting the flu.The article link I just forwarded talks about Guillain Barre disease from flu vaccines. There's no guarantee with any choice we make. I think I just want to go hide in my bed with my pillow over my head! While we are on the topic of H1N1, readers digest (i used to think that was for old people...and now I apparently am one of them) has a decent article on H1N1 and the vaccine in this months magazine. http://www.rd.com/living-healthy/flu-prevention-5-critical-lessons-from-history-/article165445.html (if this link doesnt work, go to rd.com and search for flu. Guest guest
Thanks all. I just feel so paranoid sometimes, and you are right with my history and risk factors it is probably justified. I just can't help but laugh at myself and call myself a ninny. I used to never get sick. Ah the good old days! However, whatever it was it seems to be over with today. Food is staying where it is supposed to and what is supposed to be solid is. I am still shaky and weak, but I expect that will last a few more days yet. Guest guest
That is so funny. I take prednisone and can't stop eating. In fact I could eat straight celery and nothing else and gain weight. It will take a bit to get your strength back. Hang in there woman! Guest guest
So much for the flu shot. Please be careful and go to the ER at the first sign of breathing problems. Whether it is the regular flu or H1N1 the chances of complications such as pneumonia are so much higher for asthmatics. On the bright side, you should be building loads of antibiodies to protect you for the rest of the season. Natural antibiodies work better than the shots anyway! ROFL! I have the flu now, and I am miserable, I was going to go get the flu shot today. LOL! So, here I am with the asthma with Valley Fever on top of it (because I was susceptible to it because of the Asthma), and now the Flu (because I was suseptible to it because of the Asthma and Valley Fever). If only we could get a rain here in AZ. I would probably feel better. Re: Re: Kay - flu prevention-Here it comes I came in to work today to find out that one of my clients came down with the flu on Saturday. The prison nurse checked on him on Sunday and told him that if he is not better by Monday (today) he would be placed in medical isolation. Well! Isn't that nice....they left him in the middle of my treatment unit (42 men/3 staff + Correctional Staff) for 48 hours with a fever...by the end of this week i suspect that several more will have the flu. We'll see how everyone does does. It is hard to isolate any virus here as we are in a cement building with very limited movement and even less ability to open up the facility to fresh air. Guest guest
I hope you get your answer soon. It definately helps to know your diagnosis so that things start to make sense. It still sucks but at least you know what you are dealing with. Debbie ________________________________ , I so sympathize with your situation. Even though I am able to get around fairly well, when I am in pain like tonight (my shoulder barely hurts in comparison with my neck, suddenly), I wish so much that I had someone here to help me. I get two hours a month for housekeeping help, but that is a bare minimum, though better than nothing at all. I do hope that the people involved in trying to get you more help with succeed soon. I hope you get some definitive answers soon and that they are relatively benign ones. Barbara S in CT
