Thanks so much, !

I love the " having twice as much to bottle " at the end of a 2 gal brewing!

I must admit, it is tricky for me to find places to set them, and they are

heavy.

But the KT is building me up! :)

Don't know if it's advisable or not, but I dipped the KT, instead of pouring,

since the 2 gal container is a rather unwieldy.

Blessings!

Actually, Ann, no. The first couple brews were a little longer, but

now,

the 2-gal brews are sometimes faster than the 1-gal-- that's part of

why I

love the 2-gal vessels so much, the KT brews just the same, the work to

set

it up is roughly the same, only I've got twice as much to bottle at the

end.

However, 1-gal jars are much easier to handle than 2-gal. So if you

have

to move your vessels around from where they sit for brewing to where

you

bottle, that might be a consideration, especially for less-strong or

frail

people, or if one has repetitive stress problems.

Oh I definitely dip. Some people use brewing equipment that uses a siphon.

Hi Ann

I have one of those really cool plastic ladel's that has a strainer

on it, and I " dip " instead of pour as well. It takes a little longer,

but I am able to strain out most of the ooglies during the bottling

process.
