Hi, i am just finishing up my first brew of kombucha, joined tyhis

group for questions and heklp today.. but i was wondering if, you have

to start the next batch immediatly after the first brew or if you can

wait

Marissa, welcome to the wonderful world of kombucha! It's totally fine to

wait... just leave your SCOBY floating in the oiquid KT you've saved as

starter for the next batch, right on your counter (don't refrigerate). If

you're going to wait for more than a week, you'll need extra liquid KT

because evaporation will remove some of the liquid, and the SCOBY seems

to use a bit to stay hydrated.

But remember if you want a steady supply, you need to start your next batch

in time to provide you with KT when your current supply runs out.
