Hi Marge,

Can your son brew it? The way I brew mine is to put the sugar in 2 cups of

water, bring it to a boil, dissolve the sugar, and turn off the heat. Then I

add the teabags, let steep 5 minutes, pour the rest of the water into the

jar, and then add the hot tea. The water absorbs the heat. Takes about 15

minutes.

Oh, and by the way - I use bottled water that has been ozonated so I don't

have to worry about the water being contaminated with germs or chemicals.

Hope that helps,

O. Woe. Out of Home Brew again.

MArge, are you really?

You put us all to shame!!

Can't believe that you are thirty years my senior,

as I feel we are just about the same mental age :-))

Ah, yes, Kombucha certainly helps to keep us bobbing along!

You could do with a Kombucha buddie who lives close by to

encourage you and help you with the brewing.

Anybody eligible?

Lots of love,

Marg:-)ret

I sure wish this could happen for her. I would like to think that by age

86 I might have some help with the kombucha. My understanding of Marge is

that she is still a mighty caregiver for a lot of humans. I vote Marge

gets some caregiving herself.

So totally. I testify that since I began regular intake of KT, age has

become even more identifiably a state of mind.

I think having a neighbor who brews kombucha is a wonderful way to

learn and connect, for anyone. More than a year ago, I gave my

neighbor a kombucha culture, and since then we've enjoyed many hours

of conversation about brewing. While I keep my brews plain and

simple, she loves to experiment. I once saw her " laboratory, " which

included over 20 different kinds of brews and detailed notes on each

of them! Also nice to know that there's always a source of a backup

SCOBY.

Way to go, MArge, for your caring and youthful spirit! And I do hope

you find a " kombucha buddy " , too, as Margret suggested.
