Guest guest
Recently I mentioned that I had, had a recurrance of heart palpitations and needed more calcium to stop it. Well I figured out that it was the tooth paste I was using. I used some a friend had, not natural in anyway. When I stopped the heart palps stopped. I got some , natural citrus flavored toothpaste. Nothing bad in it at all and got heart palpitations afterwards also. Ugh. It has alot of cloves and other natural, somewhat medicinal stuff in it that, even tho it is natural, just doesn't work for me. And they all seem to have some odd thing in them that just doesn't work for me so I have given up and I am making my own. French green clay, " Real " salt, water and a little peppermint oil. Works very well and seems very healing to the gums. Too much peppermint oil is a problem because it stimulates appetite and it is annoying to brush my teeth with peppermint oil and go to bed and within a half hour be really hungry, so, for my night time paste I use the least oil I can and still get a good cleansing result. This does a great job of cleaning the teeth but not at whitening. For that I am considering TheraBrite, which someone on the list mentioned. Supposedly it whitens like h202 but does not make your teeth porous like h202 does. Donna p.s. I also was surprised/appalled to find flouride in " natural " toothpaste at the local coop. Toothpastes recommended? Recently, I have started using some Tom's and Nature's Gate peppermint baking soda toothpaste and like them both. I notice that the baking soda hasn't irritated my teeth like the commercial brands. Also, my teeth feel cleaner. Are there any other toothpastes that someone would like to recommend? I have some Xylitol toothpaste but don't like the taste. Peppermint is about the only toothpaste flavor that I can stomach. I was also surprised to see Fluoride natural toothpastes. jp
Guest guest
Did you know that all toothpaste has thymersol in it, which is liquid mercury! Even the so called health food store healthy toothpastes have this liquid mercury in them, and it is such a minute amount (as a preservative) that they don't have to list it on the label!
