Sometimes the biggest step is identifying the problem. Where the heck did eating when we are stressed come from anyway? LOL I am REALLY bad about that! Makes no sense at all. I'm sure you will be back on track in no time. I KNOW you will be! I am a night time screw up. I eat relatively healthy all day and I feel perfectly satified eating that way but at night AFTER dinner I usually end up snacking on tons of junk food. Doesn't matter if I have it in the house or not... I'm no stranger to going out to get candy. LOL I think I get bored. Oh well, just one more thing for me to work on. Guest guest
Hi Alyssa. Just wanted to let you know that the get ripped advanced workouts are the hardest workouts of the advanced. It was great that you didn't shut it off (like I did the first time). Walking it out is fine as you are building up to a very difficult advanced workout. I know what you mean about eating the wrong things and eating when you're not hungry. What helped me a lot was I did a 21DC where I did not snack at all, whether I was hungry or not. I made sure I ate good, well balanced meals during this time, and sometimes ate more than I would have because I knew I was not eating until the next meal. After the first couple of days I did not feel physically hungry anymore. However, the mental munchies were hard. It worked though. I lost 5 pounds and felt so much better. So many people commented on how great I looked and thought I lost much more than 5 pounds. I was also tae boing every day during this time too. I even bought a pair of pants in a size 6! I've never been that size in my whole life. When I was 11 I had a major growth spurt and went from girls sizes to an 8 in a couple of months. Of course, I now allow myself to snack again and the other day I ate 2 candy bars and 2 balance bars between lunch and dinner. I think for people like you and me, we will have work on our eating for the rest of our lives. However, I was able to control my eating when I really wanted to and I know you can do it too. Every so often if we fall " off the wagon " and eat a bunch of junk, all we have to do is climb right back on. You will lose weight and get in shape. Keep tae boing! LOL I wish I could get my parents on the same kind of healthy eating program I'm on, that way there wouldn't be this crap in the house, but no luck. For me, sometimes I'm not even hungry, but I want to eat anyway, so I do. It's like my mouth is craving something even though my stomach isn't. And, I was cracking up about how you go out to get something, even if you don't have it in the house. A couple times when I was staying at hotels that had gift shops in the lobby, I would go down in the middle of the night, and buy all sorts of pop-tarts and Pepperidge Farm cookies, and have a little " treat fest " in my room. (And I can honestly say that after eating and entire package of those Pepperidge Farm cookies, I never want to see one again! UGH!). So you are definitely not alone in your struggles. Sure is! I just started working out again after a long time off and it felt great, but boy am I sore. I know that as long as I keep going through it, no mater how hard it is, it's better than saying 'oh to hell with it!' and shutting the tv off. Way to go! Keep up the good work Cree
