My revision surgery is scheduled!!

Hello,

You guys don't know me yet, but I had an RNY in 2001 and of course, it has now

failed. I flew out to California to see Dr K on July 6, and I am totally self

pay so now I have my surgery date!! I will have the complete revision from the

RNY to the DS on Sept 8, 2010. My daughter will accompany me for the event. She

was so kind to take her vacation time and spend it with me while I have this

done. Her husband, as well as mine, is very supportive. I love reading all your

notes and blogs and get lots of inspriation from y'all. I live in Georgia, near

Savannah so this is quite a trip for us. Until my recent trip to see Dr K, I had

never been west of the Mississippi. In all my research, I found only three

surgeons that are truly experienced with this complete revision. I did not want

to go to Detroit and the one in New Jersey is not taking new patients for at

least six months. After all is said and done, I know that Dr K is the one for

me. I absolutely enjoyed my visit with him and I have never felt that way about

a doctor before. He's the bomb!!! Anyway, I hope to keep you informed about my

progress.
