Well we got home from SLC on Saturday from Dylans Casting last

Thursday. It really is hard for me to believe that it has been 2 full

years since Dylan recieved his first cast. Dylan's in cast numbers

are 45 degrees scoli 30 degrees rotated. The 45 degrees is good

because we were stuck at 54 for so long. This cast is of the heavy

duty variety. Dylan is a very active toddler so we need a " Built

Tough CAST!!! " The Plaster is at least 1/4 " as well as the fibre

glass I think it will make to Dec. Dylans now the " Mean Green

Machine " .

This time I had the neoprene tucked right around the the bottom of

the tummy cut out. I will petal the rest of the cast over the week

and post some pictures.

We had a great time in SLC and it just goes to show that over time

the whole casting thing does get easier. Dylan was up and mobile 1/2

hour after coming out of recovery. We really are very thankful to be

able to travel to SLC. Dylan is really taken care of there and he

loves all the people. Dylan actually asked when " GET NEW CAST ON " so

he already wants to go back. I try to make it as enjoyable for him as

possible and keep that smile on his face. I think they were happy to

see the " Crazy Canadians " go home so everything could get back to

normal. If there was anybody there that did not know this little guy

before they do now. lol

Good luck to all in their casting journey and hopefully no bumps

along the way.

Darrell
