Guest guest
I received my sample today and I'm delighted. This is a complicated, sophisticated musk that leans toward the masculine, but can easily be worn by women. It's a woody, musky chypre with lots of ambrette, iris, and styrax. A touch of birch tar gives a leather note. I've been wearing this during a heat wave, but I'd really love to smell this on a tall, athletic man in the wintertime. It speaks of a warm fireplace and lots of old books, antique wooden furniture, and spice chests. The drydown is very interesting in that it becomes rather herbal-soapy, in the wonderful sense of a old-fashioned Cuban barber shop in Miami. This is a wonderful creation and I can't wait to smell it on my DH!
