If so, please post to the group and tell us about it! I have alot of

weight that I need to lose, so I'd love to hear success stories from

other women who were able to successfully lose alot of weight on the

BFL plan.

I've lost 80 pounds on the BFL program. I followed it pretty much to

a " T " , no tweaking, no extra cardio, no counting calories (just fist

and palm size portions). I did follow it very religiously. Make no

mistake, it wasn't easy and it's not a get thin quick plan. I

cheated and made mistakes along the way. It's taken me since January

of 2005 to loose that much. But I'm healthy and muscular, fit,

confident and looking good. It does work but make sure to give it

the time it takes. Heck after a year and a half it's a lifestyle,

not a diet, and that's the best way to keep this body for life!

My before and after pics are posted in the photo albums, Nette's BFL

Challenge 2005 (or something like that).

I am new to this group also.... I want to share that I started this

plan on Aug. 22, 2005... because my insurance would not pay for

stomach stapling and all the diets and diet pills I've tried in the

past did not work.... the first month I did not exercise at all and

just doing the portion size thing and changing my way of eating to

some of the suggested recipes I got off the internet made a huge

difference. I was losing 5 pounds a week. In March 2006, I committed

to a gym and started trying to work out. I've continued to lose weight

but not at the same rate of course. In the last year I've lost 55

pounds. I've had to slow down on my exercise due to a shoulder problem

and surgery... but now I'm feeling better and ready to get " serious " .

Scale wise, I'm down from 275 to 220 and I still have quite a bit more

to lose to reach my goal. I have not been totally diligent in the plan

and I've probably cheated somewhat more than I should have.... but

staying conscious of the portion size has made a big huge difference.

Another thing is that I've supplemented with the Myoplex drinks having

one at 10 am and 1 at 3pm that I share with my co-worker (who is a

tiny little thing very active in karate) and what we found is that it

really made a difference in our " hunger " pains... therefore we were

not starving at the next meal time and didn't need to overeat.... we

also were satisfied and didn't need to snack... it seemed to take away

our desire to snack or to overeat.... We stopped the shakes about 2

months ago thinking we were doing well and needed to save some money!

HA! We have admitted to each other recently that we need to get back

on the shakes to control our " hunger " and our " need to snack " .....

This plan certainly works. I've read the book and need to keep

reading and re-reading it. I've shared it with my mother who is 65

years old and all she has done is the portion size and already she's

losing weight as well.

I won't go on and on... I'm VERY excited about this plan and I assure

you it DOES work! The first month may be hard... but you will see the

weight come off if you follow the plan! And then you'll get excited

too! And even when you get discouraged you cannot deny that it works!

Keep with it! I'm happy to see the number of people still doing the

plan after more than a year!

Thanks....

hi my name is annie.. i am lerking around this board.. i rarely

post.. but i started a rough version of bfl.. as i am not that in to

all this.. but i am overweight and god knows i need something.. here

is how its been going for me..

i started july 5 2006 and since then i have lost 21 lbs.. all i

did was used fitday to help me log my food... that was the key for

me.. as mentally i forget snacks and meals.. so i would over eight

and not know it..

i stared at 262 and was at 241 yesterday.. i do not even think its

been a month.. and i know i have cheated atleast 4 times.. but i

really really try even if i cheat with a certain food not to go out

of control on cal.. its ok to try things and not deny your self.. in

fact i found it helped me to go on.. by no saying no .. u deal with

that craving and then move on.. instead of ending up all guilty

cause u want it but know u shoudl not.. then u eat the whole bag out

of defiance.. lol

anyway i also try to no eat first think and work out.. that seems to

help alot..

i have never lost weight in my whole life.. i have tried.. but since

i was born its been adding not lossing..

so here i am today 27 about to be 28 on aug 6

and this is the first time ever i have goten this far.. and i am

full and not hungry.. and i feel good..

ok well i hope this helped you to keep going.. cause it really is

amazing and you will melt .. thats what i call it melting.. lol

ok good luck and thanks to every one for all the good ideas and

post..

Thanks Annie! It' took me about 16 months to get from the before to

the after pictures you saw. From January 2005 to May 2006. I really

think that with the same determination and drive that I had to get to

my goals it can be done even quicker becuase I had to deal with a

herniated disk in my lower back for about 6 months which limited my

workouts dramatically. But heck... I'm still amazed at the short time

frame it took me to get to point A to point B! (at least it felt like a

short time to me).

Good luck, it really does work...patience, hard work and a little faith

in yourself really goes far! And my favorite reminder...make sure you

write down your goals. Believe in them, read them daily, re-write them

daily...whatever it takes to make those goals a #1 priority. Have a

great journey!!
