I used to have the most severe neck aches too, from being hyper

conscious for my operatic singing. Id sleep wrong before an audition

and voila! I couldnt sing the next day...probably subconsious fears

kicking in.

Ive learned to do a host of things. Advil before bed (and all day when

there's an injury), sleep with a curved/foam pillow (looks like a

wave), and the expensive memory foam doesnt have enough

comfort/cushion for me, my ear gets caught. Get a masage when i could.

Don't carry heavy bags on one shoulder, get a comfortable bra.

ALSO! Before going to sleep, use a vibrating back massager for 10-15

minutes, available at tone or Sharper Image...this really helps

the next morning.

If you're back into weight lifting, I think the weaker muscles have to

get stronger to support your lifting. Right now you're so aware of

your strained neck, you might be using it to lift! So make it a point

to practice good form, talk to trainers who really know about the

movement of the lift, in its perfect form.

b gentle...

I have the same problem!!!! I too changed my pillows to lower ones and then to

sleeping without. What works for me is I sleep without a pillow and use that

astronaut? pillow when I sleep on my sides. I struggled in the beginning but it

does get better. Also do not try and stretch ur neck at all if you feel any

stiffness or pain. Hope this problem gets better for u too.

Whats strange is

this has happened all week and it hurts the most in the morning and when

sleeping as the

day goes on it improves. I dread trying to sleep tonight!! My mother bought me

one of those

memory foam pillows but it's so high I feel like I am sleeping on a sliding

board and it only

hurts more! Help ladies help!
