Guest guest
Looks to me like pretty good results for 6 weeks. In particular, you've got some good stuff going on with your back muscles--I want to see another back shot when the 12 weeks are up. Guest guest
I think you look a lot buffer, and there is less " pooch " in many places. You really are doing a great job! Someone suggested this once, and it makes a great deal of sense to me... Take your before after pics. But them both on the table in front of you, upside down, cover the faces....I'll bet you will be able to see the changes more realistically when you are not looking at " you " . Keep it up, by the end of 12 weeks you will be very surprised with your progress. Barbara > > Hi Ladies, > I posted some pics that reveal 6 weeks of change. Guest guest
christina, I can definitely see a difference! Now I see those 'muscle lines' all over --- your thigh, down the centre of your abs, shoulders. Way to go! Keep it up, you will be shocked by week 12! > > > > Hi Ladies, > > I posted some pics that reveal 6 weeks of change. Guest guest
Thank you girls for the comments! But I feel so muscley?! I think its a personal thing, but I am NOT happy. I feel like some off-season body builder, walking around with too much mass. Its pretty harsh to feel that I want to be the hot girl I was only 2 years ago (19 pds thinner)- and now that the weekend is here, I'm afraid to go on dates!! aaaaah! I see that the soft fleshy parts are zapped, my scale weight has gone up (3pds), my BF% has barely moved down. I'm stronger on the weights...and I wonder if I'm the classic mesomorph, who builds muscle fast, alongside an endomorph, who keeps the fat. I'm not quitting, but this is what I was afraid of...big muscles, with a layer of the same fat overlaying it (paper bag, breathe) I am NOT quitting because weight lifting is NEW to me, and I should expect my body to feel unrewarded for a while. I know that I CANNOT go back to the instant change ive seen myself do with running 5 miles a day, and carb eliminating. Its no way to live. right? I'm tracking calories like hell... -- aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! > > Oh wow, I can totally see a difference! Look how good your back looks! Guest guest
, Your muscles are looking great! Once the fat comes off I think you'll be really happy with the way you look. I also completely wig when I have too much body fat over too much muscle. Here are some tricks I use for leaning out and speeding things along when I'm feeling extra huge. If you're taking any muscle builders or cell volumizers, either eliminate them or reduce the dose. They can cause a serious muscle pump, and creatine especially can cause bloat on top of a muscle pump. Not always the desired effect. Most of the time I only take 2g of creatine twice a week on my weight days. I get the strength and recovery benefits after my workouts but no bloat. If you're really carb sensitive, you may have a hard time losing fat and looking extra lean on BFL ratios. First go for more fresh, watery, fruit and vegetable carb portions as opposed to processed, high-sodium carb portions (Lean Out Menu). If that's not enough to tip things in the right direction, start letting your protein run 15-20g higher than your carbs. And I don't mean low-carbing, just tipping things slightly toward more protein. You can count it if you're a calorie freak, or you can just eliminate the carb portion from one meal a day if you're using the palm/fist method. So, one meal a day could be like a whey protein shake, or lean meat and vegetables. I think you've already thrown a circuit routine into your week. That type of total-body calorie-blasting routine helps out because it keeps your heart rate elevated, maximizes fat burning, and doesn't allow for multiple sets of heavy isolation exercises. Remember 's progress pics? http://www.bodyforlife-tracker.com/showphotos.cfm?id=15160 (hopefully that link works, if not search for " nheyrman " in the profiles) She was still really frustrated between weeks 4-8 and yet she came out ultra-lean. If you stay focused on good nutrition and a consistent calorie deficit, the fat loss WILL catch up. Paper towel theory and all that. You're closing in on the cardboard, so hang in there! > Thank you girls for the comments! But I feel so muscley?! > > I think its a personal thing, but I am NOT happy. Guest guest
- Thank you for the advice! I am praying for 's transformation to happen to me :0)...its amazing that in her 12th week photo, she looks like someone who has been fit her whole life, not a waif/not a dieter. Its THAT kind of body that people want to see on the stage (B'way). I learned a ton this weekend, being a fly-on-the-wall backstage at the Bev Francis Atlantic Open. All the amateur body builders, zonked from dehydration and chemical tans were only too happy to pose for me! Intuitively, out of dozens of girls, I KNEW which one was going to win the Figure (total Brant look-alike). I got up close to see-Rodney (Mr. Olympia-8yrs) Here's the kicker...someone said " Good luck " to me, thinking I was going to compete!(enter curse words) I know the combination of 'the pump' and the creatine bloat is really to blame here. After mild dehydration from some wine this weekend, I am definitely smaller, and my jeans are falling off (sz 6 at Gap). I'm going to take weekly pics (not sure if I'll post em' lol!). I have to be careful with cardio and circuits this week because of my weakened fascia (damn the yoga/kick boxing!) and keep picking people's brains. I really believe that we create our own realities...and I find myself stretching outside of my normal circle of friends, to include more people with fitness in mind. Its a new way of seeing things, to find myself gravitating towards people I wouldnt have had a connection with before. My head is going there, and I'm sure my body will follow. its good, its good -- > > Thank you girls for the comments! But I feel so muscley?! > > > > I think its a personal thing, but I am NOT happy.
