Guest guest
Shakes are always good w/ protein and fruit. Cottage cheese w/ fruit would be a good choice. I have some protein muffin recipes. I like whole wheat wraps w/ egg beaters and veggies. ORourke <wine_vineyard@...> wrote: Hello Everyone, I would like some breakfast suggestions for the milder climate. Guest guest
I'm boring with my first meal of the day. I always have a protein shake and a banana (maybe once in a while some Kashi-Go-Lean waffles in place of the banana.) I do that for convenience and to get my flax seed oil in for the day (mix it in my shake.) Guest guest
My very favorite breakfast is one whole medium egg pan fried (with just a LITTLE cooking spray) cooked so that the yoke stays soft mixed in with 1/2 C cooked Texmati Brown Rice. Drink one EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Shake and there you have it. I always cook a big batch of rice on Sunday night so it's ready and the egg only takes about 5 minutes to cook. It adds up to about 280 calories, 34% Protein, 39% Carbs and 27% Fat. The whole egg makes the fat a little high but it's pretty easy to even it all out by the end of the day. > > Hello Everyone, > > I would like some breakfast suggestions for the milder climate. > > I cannot continue to eat oatmeal during the Spring and Summer. > > I found a " Crustless Vegetable Quiche " that I will try tomorrow. > > Does anyone have any recipes to offer? > > Thank you in advance, > > . > > > --------------------------------- > Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
I also love Cottage Cheese mixed with Kashi Go Lean Crunch. I stole that idea directly from 's site. She mixes in a little Splenda too, I think. So good! Guest guest
one-fifth of an apple? one-fifth of a cup of apple? Hopefully that was a typo. I wouldn't know how to begin to cut my apple into fifths.....! n At 10:57 PM 4/1/2006, you wrote: >Here's my favorite: > >3/4 C cottage cheese >1/5 chopped apple >1T peanut butter > >Stir and enjoy. > >Debra
Guest guest
- Let us know how the quiche recipe works out. I have an easy, delicious crustless quiche recipe in my Pampered Chef cookbook, but it's not BFL friendly. I would love to hear how yours turns out! Perhaps I'll try and revise the one I have and see how it tastes sometime. You mentioned missing your bagels. Have you tried the whole wheat bagels w/ cottage cheese? I don't know the carb content off hand, but this might be a good option, with even half of the bagel. I also like the Pepperidge Farm whole wheat English Muffins with cottage cheese, or cottage cheese and yogurt. If I didn't have the " free " option of breakfast at work, serving my daily breakfast of oatmeal and egg whites, I'd probably change it up in the summertime as well. But I am a creature of habit and love free things! lol - ORourke <wine_vineyard@...> wrote: Hello Everyone, I would like some breakfast suggestions for the milder climate. Guest guest
I have several breakfast ideas on my What I Eat page - berry mixtures, omelets, pancakes, cereal, toast. I think my favorite is cottage cheese, mandarin oranges, pineapple, and crushed macadamia nuts sweetened with splenda. http://www.skwigg.com/id3.html I also love this blueberry goo. The frozen berries make it very dessert-like. My portions are probably kind of large but you can always adjust things up or down to make it work for you. 1 cup cottage cheese 1/3 cup oats (uncooked) 1/2 cup frozen blueberries 10 almonds all stirred together and sweetened with splenda That's about 320 cals, 28g protein, 34g carbs (7 of which are fiber), and 9g of healthy almond fat. Guest guest
Just to add to the blueberry goo love...I eat that almost every day, but sometimes I use All-Bran instead of oats. Yet, even more fiber! All kinds of frozen fruit works too. It's divine. > > I also love this blueberry goo. The frozen berries make it very > dessert-like. Guest guest
Kari McMuffin is my favorite! I nuke an egg (it's fast - scramble egg with TSB of water - nuke 30 seconds at a time, stir, return) When almost done, add one slice canadian bacon, one slice 2% cheese Nuke 20 seconds Serve on WW English muffin. Toasted or not. I've made these for years. Love them Kari > > > > Hello Everyone, > > > > I would like some breakfast suggestions for the milder climate. > > > > I cannot continue to eat oatmeal during the Spring and Summer. > > > > I found a " Crustless Vegetable Quiche " that I will try tomorrow. > > > > Does anyone have any recipes to offer? > > > > Thank you in advance, > > > > . > > > > > > --------------------------------- > > Messenger with Voice.
